Kicking off each debate season, The Newark Debate Academy hosts a debate institute at the Frost Valley YMCA camp in Claryville, NY for high school students in the Greater Newark area. The debate institute is a workshop, modeled on national debate institutes, providing students with the opportunity to strengthen their debate skills before the season starts and learn from instructional staff recruited from leading college debate programs as well as the Newark Debate Academy’s (NDA) excellent coach resources.
